Dyslexia Test - A Comprehensive Guide 11/04/2010
Dyslexia test is now getting more and more popular these days since more and more people are becoming aware of the condition called dyslexia. It is surprising to know the number of identified cases growing each day. This case isn’t because of the number of people with the condition but rather because a lot of people are now becoming open to taking dyslexia tests and when positive of one, they are becoming more open to taking dyslexia treatments. In the past, not so many people are familiar with dyslexia. They simply suffer from this condition and grew up without getting any treatment, while others outgrew the condition naturally. Now that this condition is openly identified and described as a serious medical condition, it is important to seek professional help immediately right after suspecting that you are positive of dyslexia. Other than dyslexia test, other signs and symptoms can also tell if you have dyslexia. Thus, you need to know what these signs are and try to observe yourself if you have these symptoms. In addition, serious dyslexia problems pose serious symptoms. One simple dyslexia test that you can try is to ask someone to give you a spelling test. Dyslexic people have trouble spelling out both simple and complicated words. Examples of these words are: enough, friend, because, they, any, island, many, and said. Dyslexics also tend to spell some words based on how they sound. Some of these words are: does/dus, journey/jerney, search/serch, knock/nock, please/plese. Another simple dyslexia test is the distinction of left and right. You can ask someone to give you instructions such as using the left finger to point your right foot. If you are dyslexic, this simple instruction will create confusion on your part. If you have difficulty understanding simple math problems, then you may be suffering from dyslexia. You can ask someone you know to test your math ability by giving you both simple and complicated math problems including concepts of sequences. A simple dyslexia test also shows comprehension problems by evaluating your comprehension ability. Dyslexics also have trouble retaining what has just been said as well as repeating the words said to them. If you have problems understanding statements, it is a good idea to take a dyslexia test because this test is also used for evaluating a person's comprehension ability. Retaining, remembering, or repeating words and statements may be difficult for a person with dyslexia. Your ability to follow instructions may also be evaluated by a simple dyslexia test. People with dyslexia may find it hard to follow simple instructions, more so complicated instructions that involve multiple sequences or two or more procedures. If the dyslexia test has shown that you have this condition, you'd better seek professional help right away. Keep in mind that while this condition can be serious, it can be treated with proper and immediate professional or expert help. 2 Comments First Post! 11/04/2010
